NFL Fantasy Week 13 Waiver Wire Ads

If you are still in the mix for your respective NFL Fantasy Football league, you're like me and struggling to field a healthy team. We all need to make some waiver wire pick ups before the week is out. Here are some players that you should be adding if you need help on offense.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Carolina Panthers (35% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

Over the last two weeks, Tua Tagovailoa has quietly been playing some good football for the streaking Dolphins. He’s completed 84% of his passes and Jaylen Waddle has become his go-to receiving threat. Waddle would be on this list if he was under the radar. Tagovailoa hasn’t passed for 300+ yards in a game but only once. The Giants secondary is sneaky good and is on a 8 game INT streak. But if you're simply looking to plug and play for one game, Tua is a solid pickup.

Carson Wentz, QB, Indianapolis Colts (65% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

Wentz had been on the rise but was dropped in Yahoo leagues after two straight lack-luster performances. But Wentz bounced back against the Bucs and totalled over 20 fantasy points by tallying 306 passing yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs. Next up is a date with the Texans. Wentz scored 17 fantasy points in a Week 6 matchup against the Texans. He is a good option because of the favorable matchup, and he’s a possible daily fantasy stack with Taylor/Pittman.

Matt Breida, RB, Buffalo Bills (37% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

Even though Matt Brieda saw less snaps than RB Devin Singletary, he was the more affected back when the ball was in his hands. Breida found the end zone with a receiving TD and the eye test on Thanksgiving showed me he's the most explosive RB. Breida has surplaned RB Zack Moss as the #2 back, Moss was a healthy scratch on Thanksgiving night. He is not a RB2 or RB3 in 8 manager leagues, but he’s a waiver wire consideration in deeper leagues for me.

Chuba Hubbard, RB, Carolina Panthers (74% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

Christian McCaffrey is headed to the season ending IR after the Panthers’ Week 12 loss to the Dolphins. Carolina’s offense was awful with Cam Newton at QB, but Hubbard will get starter’s touches for a run heavy team. Hubbard is back to a mid-tier RB2 against the Falcons in Week 14. If you kept him on your roster when CMC came back, you were the wiser. By now, Hubbard is likely off the board in most leagues.

Alexander Mattison, RB, Minnesota Vikings, (91% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

As Serious and I noted on our NFL Free For All Show, even with Cook being injured the Vikings offense doesn’t miss a beat. That is because Mattison is a darn good back. We've seen what he can do when given a full workload when Cook was limited earlier this season. When Mattison gets 20+ carries this season, he has rushed for over 100 yards. Detroit is up next on the schedule, so this is a good place to rest Dalvin Cook and Mattison can shine. This is a clear RB1 spot for all fantasy owners..

Kendrick Bourne, WR, New England Patriots (38% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

The arrival of Kendrick Bourne is here as he tallied 5 catches for 61 yards and 2 TDs in Week 12 against the Titans. Bourne has been getting at least 4+ targets a game since Week 7. He’s been on the radar, but without TDs to show for it he was a deep league add. While the Patriots are a running team, Bourne is a solid flex play for owners in need of a little help.

Van Jefferson Jr., WR, Los Angeles Rams (63% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

Van Jefferson Jr. is a volume play even with the signing of Odell Beckham. He rarely comes off the field because of the offensive formations. He burned the Packers secondary for a long TD on Sunday and has 4 total receiving TDs on the season. The Rams offense is struggling and I look for them to get back to the rushing/play-action game this week. But Jefferson is a deep league consideration as volume and opportunity is a good bet.

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts, (29% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

T.Y. Hilton is not the same dynamic WR he was 5+ years ago as he was even close to retirement. Michael Pittman is emerging as the clear #1 WR and Hilton hasn't gotten more than 5 targets a game this year. But he's healthy and has a favorable Week 13 matchup with Houston. This is a reach for most owners, he’s a deep league consideration only, and that’s if you hare scraping the bottom of the barrel for WR help.

Foster Moreau, TE, Las Vegas Raiders (317% Rostered in Yahoo Fantasy)

This is my one TE recommendation at the position that is impossible to give advice for. Darren Waller left the Cowboys game on Thanksgiving with a knee injury, but it looks like he avoided a major knee injury. But Moreau filled in for Waller before in Week 7 when Waller went down and caught 6 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. I think Waller won’t play this week, so Moreau is an emergency TE pickup in Week 13 against Washington.
